I have been constructing an excel application to manipulate data through the use of a large number of VBA macros. Typically with these applications I hide the ribbon menu and use command buttons to control the navigation and limit the options of the user. Historically it was straightforward to create an entirely custom menu system in Excel 2003, I now feel brave enough to attempt the same thing in Excel 2010 with a custom ribbon UI. What isn't entirely clear to me is whether it is possible to completely strip away all of the standard Excel functions of the ribbon using AJP's RibbonX Visual Designer 2010 and create only what I want the user to see.
Is this possible and is there an idiot's guide to getting started with it?
Many thanks.
