    Extending formula

    Hello all,

    I am interested in extending my formula of:
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    What this does is find a dot in the email address and splits it accordingly to "After_DOT, Before_DOT". If there is no dot in the email then I get #VALUE!. How can I take the first two letters of the email address and place them in the Before_DOT position and the rest After_DOT position IF there is no dot in the mail address?


    What happens now: ---------------
    Normal case:
    [email protected] is transformed into LastName, FirstName

    No dot:
    [email protected] I get #VALUE!


    What I want to happen: ------------
    Normal case:
    [email protected] is transformed into LastName, FirstName

    no dot:
    [email protected] I get rstnamelastname, fi

    Perfect! Just what I needed. In the results of your formula, I noticed there was no comma. No biggie since I adjusted that part.
