VBA code with 2 formatting conditions.

Hi guys, I tried to find an answer to my problem but I cannot see the correct explanation. Plus on top I am very disappointed how people answer, as it is in many cases unusable.
So first this is my problem which I have. I have a sheet where I have VBA code with one formatting condition so that when I click on any cell the color will change. But what I need is that on same sheet I have a drop down menu and if choose an item in drop down I would like to have some of preset ranges to change the color to red for example. How to do it without getting in conflict between those two? Thank you and please explain the code if you paste one.

Possibly related to how the question is asked, how specific it is, and what information is provided. Your question is not very specific, you don't explain what the code you have already does, which cell(s) is/are monitored, and you haven't uploaded a sample workbook so that people can see what you are working with.

I'm guessing you have a Worksheet Change event handler which monitors a specific cell, or range of cells, and executes when there is a change. And, guessing again, you want a second Worksheet Change event handler ... which you can't have.

So, what you need to do is start by excluding any cell that you aren't interested in, regardless of which group it is in.

So, the first test would be:

I trust this reply will not be too disappointing based on the information provided and the assumptions made. You would remove the message boxes and replace them by appropriate code.
