    pasting values with vba excel

    on Shee1 , the sheet on which the sub is supposed to run i have this code:

    i am getting run time error 424 object required.

    Because this code is in the worksheet with the data this is all that's required. Just remove the "asdf."

    btw i still don't get where should i run this macro , under modules or sheet 1 and how do i make use of code tags

    I don't understand your question. You said this code was in the sheet with the data, and you said it is working now. Why is there a question about where you should run it?

    There are two ways to apply code tags. One is to type them in.

    The other way is to select all your code, then press the # button in the formatting panel above the edit window.
