Text date to text box and manipulation thereof

Hello everyone. I'm stuck again.

Attached is a vastly boiled down version of something I'm creating for work.
There is a simple userform that allows you to select a staff number in the combobox and it will return the relevant "Net Hrs Bal" from column F. This bit works(ish), however the dates are stored as text (they're imported from another system that way) and ideally I'd need them to be treated as [h]:mm format so I can maipulate them with calculations. For example, textbox2 in the attached should divide that figure by 2, but I get a "Run-time error 13 - Type mismatch".

Any bright sparks out there able to assist me with this?

As you surmised, you'll have to separate the parts around the colon.
