    Question Macro not working after I sent it on email

    Hi everyone! I've been working a code on my laptop (Excel 2010, Windows 7 Professional). Worksheet has a few macros that I made with function "Macro Recorder" (I'm not an expert, still I understand logic of my macros...). Worksheet also has some Control ActiveX Buttons that run macros or text boxes... It had been working perfect on my laptop until I send it on email to some friends. When they opened it, none of my macros work. Even a simple sheets("name").select give then an error '57121' (Application defined or object defined error). What could be happening here? How can I solve this? I hope you can help me with this..

    Are you friends using Excel on a Mac by any chance?

    Macs don't support Activex controls.

    If Windows then make sure the Trust Center setting for "Disallow all active X contols with no warning" is not selected on the machines throwing the error.

    No, they're using Excel on windows too. It's very weird since I try to create new macros from their laptops on the same workbook that I sent them on email and they open and it's not working. Even If I try to create a macro without ActiveX controls (just a Sheet(Name).Select doesnt work).

    Hi,

    Are they opening the workbook from their client email program?

    If so ask them to save the file first to a folder and then open from there and let us know if that works.
