Insert cell (shift cells right) and format at the push of a button!

    Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to put a spreadsheet together that will work like a bar graph. This will show how often a list of people have seen a certain specialist, so column A will have a list of names and next to those names in column B there will be a '+1' button. When the user clicks the button an extra cell will be inserted to column C and formatted in a given colour, shifting those next to it right. The idea is that by clicking the '+1' buttons next to the name, you'll effectively be building a horizontal bar graph for easy visual representation of who has been seen how many times.

My knowledge of VB and writing macros is still in its infancy, but I like to tinker, so please be gentle.

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

Does the attached help. I don;t see any need for having a button on every row

You can either select any cell in a row and click the button at the top or perhaps easier double click on any cell in the row.

In either case the existing dates wil be moved right and today's date added.

Just delete the button if you just want to use the double click option
