    Question #NA Error on VLookup

    Hi folks:
I have a small area to enter employee hours on the main dashboard of my project.

The lookup value is the cell with Cook1(FT) (O16)
The VLookup code I am using is

where Wages is a named range with position names in column 1 and wage rates in column 2.

I have read several articles about the possible cause of this error and cannot correct the problem. There are no leading spaces in the data, the cell references are all correct and both cells have a number format. I tried changing the cell formats but nothing helped. Three other cells are also VLookup formulas that work fine.

    What else can I check?

    Re: #NA Error on VLookup

    Hi,
Under the formulas tab, go to Name Manager and check what the Wages named range relates to.
I am guessing that you do not want to attach the sheet, but maybe take a copy and remove any sensitive information and then attach it to this post, or re-create the issue in another workbook and attach that.
    Regards,
    Stephen

    Re: #NA Error on VLookup

Recommend you upload a sample (sanitized) of your file.
A sample would make it so much easier to provide a solution.
Explanations and pictures are great, but no where as helpful as a file.

    Cheers,

    Re: #NA Error on VLookup

Thank you for your reply. I have, in the past 5 minutes, found a solution to my problem. All of the information that I needed to reference with vlookups is in the same table including the one giving the #NA. Once I referenced the appropriate column in the table, no problem. I don't know why I was trying to reference the named range. But just as a matter of interest, should I be able to do that, if the lookup value is the result of another Vlookup value?
