Okay, here's the situation:
Our Reports group compiles information from various databases into multiple workbooks for my/our use. The source data isn't contained in the workbook, only a pivot of the source is resident in the workbook. For my purposes, I need to access 6 of these files on a regular basis, out of about 20 files in the folder. For each of "my" files, I need to filter the pivot down to only my Expense data, not my Budget or Projection. I also need to change other options in my pivot. For instance, in my FY14 file, the Budget Reference default is ALL, because only FY14 data is in this file. But all of the data I take from my pivot is going to be added to the information from FY15, 16,17, etc, so I need the Budget Reference to reflect the actual budget year.
OR,
I need PQ to view the detail information behind the pivot, and remove the items I don't need from that.
I'm still learning PQ, so this may be easy but I don't know how to do what I need. Please advise.
I've attached a picture of what my pivot currently looks like in PQ. Not that this is the pivot from only one of my files. I have 6 to do, out of 20 in the folder.
