In the attachment, the data in the black is what I have and the data in the red is what I want. I want to be able to run a macro so I could display the red data at the click of a button. I'm struggling with the code to do so. Any advice? My real file is thousands of rows long which is why I need to figure out code to do the aforementioned. I'm slowly teaching myself VBA, but I worry that the level of difficulty of this task is too high. Thank you.

I don't really understand your averages, but however you're doing them, you can set up a pivot table to do this analysis for you. Screenshot example, you'd just have to adjust the averages to your needs.

How would I get avg of cost/day or avg hours/day? To calculate avg cost/day is the cost summed up for each serial # divided by the difference in days so (42430-42370) which equal 60 days. The same idea applies to hours/day except hours is calculated through the difference as well.
