    Autosave every 5 seconds,vlook up and change cell value

    Hi,

    I would like to ask help from everyone. My current project is to log the status of the employee.

    here is the process:
    1. Employee will type the employee id in the textbox,
    2. automatically the combobox be filled with the status ( if the status of the employee in the sheet1 is not log in, combobox should be "Ready" and the status in sheet1 will be change to ready as well. )
    3. Since this workbook will be shared to employees, I want to have it automatically save every 5 seconds or whatever seconds or time.

    Attached is the sample.

    hoping for your help.

    Thank you.

    here is one approach,
    after the user updates his status, the file is saved...
    please change the path and the file name .....

    The question is, what if the only one user change the status? what if no user change the status? what if userform is idle for a long time. something like that.

    The file is shared to all users, it will only update the listbox inside the userform once the file is being save. I think, thisworkbook.save formula can shorten the above mentioned code. Just wondering, what is the difference of using thisworkbook.save to using ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:="C:\Users\appropiate name...\....\sample (2).xlsm", _
    FileFormat:=xlOpenXMLWorkbookMacroEnabled, CreateBackup:=False

    and also, how about the vlookup? do you have any idea on how to do that?
