pop-up multi-selection listbox

I can make a multi-selection dropdown but it is very unwieldy in that the dropdown does not stay open when making the selections

I have read that it is possible to have a pop-up multi-selection listbox. The listbox could be positioned just below the cell to look very similar to a DV dropdown list.

I was hoping someone could help me with this

My sheet needs two of these populated by a list on a different sheet
Selections are Piped separated "|"
Both lists are the same

I uploaded a sample sheet where the list is in the List sheet col A
