replacing a certain text and then looking it up

Hi everyone,

How can i replace a certain part of text for and convert it to another form and then lookup the whole new value.

for example, Aquarius (T-500 ppm) B100 DYE to Aquarius 500ppmT B100 DYE and vice versa. Also, the bolded text is not fixed on a certain position (it can be at the beginning, end or middle of the text) and the number also differs.

also,i am using userform and the worksheet only contains the list of description that i will use as reference to lookup the value.

i already got an idea on how to get the remaining text. my only problem now is the number within the text as it varies ( 3 ppmT, T-15 ppm, 1000 ppmT)

Can't follow the logic. Finding "T-500 ppm" - whether at the beginning, middle or end of a string, and changing it to "500ppmT", is straightforward.

But if that value is not in the string you use to look up, what are you "searching" for?

And if the number can differ, how is the Code supposed to know what to look for and change?

You need to attach a sample workbook with a few dozen rows at most showing us what you look up, what it looked like originally, and what you want it to be at the end.
