I'm running into some issues with my home computer which I recently installed Excel 2016, when working on files for work that were written on 2010. I have a file that has about 10 external connections to an Access database on our server at work, and when opened at home, I got 10 messages that the external file can't be found. That was an easy fix in 2010, I just disabled all external connections in 2010 at home, and the error messages stopped. But now that I have 2016 installed, setting the external connections to off doesn't stop the error messages. does anyone have a clue on how to solve this? I did some testing with VBA and using the ThisWorkbook.ConnectionsDisabled in a simple macro always returns false, no matter where I set the Trust Center settings.
