Deleting a specific number of cells left

Is it possible to have Excel find a particular formatted cell, then delete that cell and the 6 cells underneath it to the left.
In my sample I have shown how the data starts out and how I would like it to finish up.
The formatted cells I select will always have no data in them, and that's why they are unnecessary.
This is simple to do on a small scale, but I have many rows and columns collate.

So I'm guessing deleting columns B to E won't work because you've got other data below what you've shown.

Yes that's correct.
I thought I might be clutching at straws here, but it's quite boring sitting there deleting them as I go along.

Can you show me how the data is structured further below (*ie a few more examples) and also which cell is it you want to 'click on' to start the process

There is always 9 rows of data. I always delete from the empty black shaded cells.
