    Red face challenge - complicated time calc

    Hi,

    I have two times, a start and end time.
    These times can be on the same day on starting one day, finishing the next day.

    For any time BETWEEN these start and end dates; I need to calc two things:

    1. time between 7pm and midnight.
    2. time between midnight and 7am.


    eg. start = 7pm end 8pm - 1 hour
    start 10pm finish 2am - 2 hours upto midnight, 2 hours upto 7am
    start start 3am finish 10am - 0 hours to midnight, 4 hours upto 7am.

    its complicated.. i've tried a few functions but keep failing

    any guru's up for the challenge?!
