Using =SPELLNUMBERTOENGLISH; receiving NAME? error.

I have an excel spreadsheet that I have created that displays a payroll check. It is a three part check with stubs at the top and bottom with the actual payroll check in the center. I found a macro to use called =SPELLNUMBERTOENGLISH in which I used (see macro below). It worked at first, but when I go to change the amount, it does not spell it out and produces the NAME? error. I am not an excel pro, especially when it comes to macros and I do not have any idea how to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
JM

I have tried to attach the xls but the site would not allow. I will submit thread and go back in and see if I can attach again.

Unfortunately your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code.

Posting code between
Please Login or Register to view this content.
tags makes your code much easier to read and copy for testing, it also maintains VBA formatting.

Highlight your code and click the # icon at the top of your post window. More information about these and other tags can be found here

Please upload the workbook so that we can see in context. It may be that it's because you haven't dimmed the xDecimal variable but we won't know until we have something to check.

Is there another way to attach the workbook? I have clicked on Manage Attachments and selected browse and the xls to upload but when I go to slect upload it shows an error.

Hi,

I just tried a test upload and it's working OK for me. Maybe there was a glitch on the forum when you tried.
After clicking the Upload button close the window then Submit

Re: Using =SPELLNUMBERTOENGLISH; receiving NAME? error.

I have tested and run the code. It is working as you can see on column W.
Most of the variables on the code are undeclared and if you have option explicit on the top of the code, you will get many errors of "Variable not declared"
