Using a user form to insert a new row

    Hi all!

I am very bad with excel and have been asked to do several projects for work so you will probably see me posting here a lot within the next few weeks! I created a user form (attached below) and I want users to be able to fill it out and when they click "insert new row" it will add a new row to my spreadsheet with the information they entered in the appropriate columns. I have also attached a sample row so you can see what the spreadsheet looks like. For now I just need the fields in the user form to be filled out so you can disregard any other information.Any help is greatly appreciated, much thank!

    Hi there,

    Welcome to the Forum.

I recommend you to start study this playlist.
You can find here all what you want to know about UserForms.
    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...VWUicXZvywNSI4

Now regarding your issue, You want to have a check box that when it is clicked will add a new row with the info from the user form? Will be easier for us to see the excel with the user form in it so we can enter the right code.
We have to add some codes to the click event of the user form from your spreadsheet so is a bit complicated to explain, but we can help.

Attach the excel and we will try our best.

    Have a great day ahead,
    Ionut

Posting code between tags makes your code much easier to read and copy for testing, it also maintains VBA formatting.

Re: Using a user form to insert a new row

Thanks for responding so quickly! I wasn't planing on having a check box, I was going to add a button to the first sheet that said "new row" and when clicked it would open the user form that could be filled in and then using that information it would create a new row placing the appropriate information into the appropriate columns. I have attached the workbook that I have so far. Thank you so much for your help!

Sorry those values must have gotten lost in translation. I attached an image with the list of names!

Re: Using a user form to insert a new row

    Hi Maddie,

I suggest you to have a look at that youtube video.

I tried to help you but in order to fully complete this Userform it will take a while.
Try to do it yourself and if you find any issues you can ask for help.

Also I suggest to change the format of your report. Because there are some merged columns we can't make Excel to go down directly to the last row.

In order to complete this task it will take a couple of hours therefore I suggest waiting until others can help. I don;t have right now time to dig more into you project sorry...

BUt as a time for practice you can try to do it on your own as the playlist from youtube is the right thing you need.
