The simplest, most blank, Excel sheet ever

    Hi,

I'd like to know how to remove everything from an Excel user, except for the ability to be able to type in selected cells. To clarify, I want to hide / remove as much of the following as Excel permits:
    • All menus
    • All toolbars
    • The ability to see the sheet names or add new sheets
    • All scrolling
    • All resizing
    • The very bottom toolbar where you can resize and see sums etc.
    • The ability to use keyboard shortcuts to achieve any hidden features, particularly Save

In particular, I want a non full-screen (that I can custom size) Excel workbook as a single sheet. Also is there anyway to keep it as .xlsx rather than .xlsm so the user doesn't have to enable macros? Or any way of doing the same so it's not macro enforced. It's essential for me that users cannot bypass this. I've searched and got pieces (scrolling, some menu hiding etc) but nothing that doesn't seem to involve full screen.

    Thanks in advance

You could have a user form that opened when the file is opened, re-opened if closed, and saved inputted data to selected cells and closed the file on a button press. That would limit the user to be ablke to do anything but interact with the userform.
I'm interested in starting a career working with VBA, if anyone knows of any opportunities!
