Insert vlookup formula into next empty cell in column B

Good morning

I have put together the code below to insert a date into two cells,,,, cell A3 and the first empty cell in column A,,, this works with no problems... I have become stuck with inserting the formula into the cell in column B when it inserts the date into the first empty cell in column A... can someone point out where I am going wrong please...

I was over complicating this........ rather than try to put a formula into the cells,,, when the workbook opens its easier just to copy and past the range A3:ag3 when other criteria is met.........

the solution if anyone would like it is.... Cell A2 refers to the dates,,,, if today doesn't match the last date enterered then it copies and pastes the range
