Turn off error sounds

Is there a way of turning off the error sounds - I find them intensely irritating
I don't want to mute my laptop as I need alarms and sometimes music to play

You'll need to change the windows sounds to achieve this.

Change the "exclamation" sound to "none"

I though that would turn off my outlook calendar sounds, but it doesnt
problem solved
