Coding to solve auto date placement when information is transfered automatically

So, I am working on a document that tracks multiple project tasks in 6 tabs. The first page lists items that are categorized by open and closed items (Picture 1)

The button on the right hand side moves all items in the "closed" category to the closed page (picture 2)

Once on the closed page, there is a column that should load a date automatically once info on the line is entered (Picture 3)

The problem I am having is that the date will not automatically appear when information is transferred when the "move closed" button is pressed. I have to manually go in and double click to bring up cursor in that line and hit enter to make the date appear. My question is if it is possible to adjust the code to make it so that the close date will appear without having to manually go in and click within the line?
