For a few weeks now, I've been trying to find ways to get Excel to work with CSV files in a more streamlined manner. Ideally, I want to just double click the file and the CSV will open- WITH trailing zeros and fractions that don't convert to dates. So far, I found a script that's very very close but, rather than opening the file, it imports the data into a blank workbook, so, if I want to make changes to the CSV, I have to copy and paste the name from the original. To someone with powershell scripting knowledge, I don't think this is a complicated tweak, but unfortunately, my knowledge of powershell scripting is nominal. Here's the script:

There may be more than one way to do this, but, off the top of my head, I think, at the beginning of the script, grabbing the name of the file, and, at the end, using that name to save the file to csv, overwriting the one that's there.
Any help would be appreciated.
