    [Help] Excel Hyperlink

I have an excel with customers bill information. I have pivot set up to give at a glance information for various bills as the first sheet contains products and pricing. This pivot just gives me the invoice totals. This pivot also has details about customer receipts as well. So in the overview, Sheet 1- Sale details to customers ie, item, quantity, price etc. Sheet 2 - Pivot showing totals as well as receipt and other details about those individual invoices.

Now onto the question, any VBS script where in I can click that customer name and load their account information onto a new sheet with the details about the current status of their invoice. Currently, the data is quite less on the Pivot, but as newer invoices are being added daily, that is only going to grow, so would VBS create any slow down on the system as such ?

    Hello,

first, no need to use "[Help]" in your title. Everybody who asks a question here needs help.

I'm not quite sure where a hyperlink comes in. If I understand your question correctly, you have data with billing information and each record is linked to a customer.

You can set up a report sheet where you create a pivot table that lists the customer bills, and then use a slicer to select the customer you want to display.

It's hard to answer this question without more information about your data structure, so it would help if you could post a workbook with some sample data. Please replace confidential data with dummy text and call them Customer1, Customer2, etc.

Mock up the desired output manually and explain the logic.

    cheers, teylyn

Here the said file. I'll be keeping a separate file for customers name's only. If I click any of the customers name, it should launch a new sheet with a statement for last 10 bills and their current status. Normally to do this, I'd have to use filter within the Pivot, but if I can automate it, I can delegate it to my subordinate to generate statements like the management require.

This does not get any easier if you change the sheet names from your original post.

I'm not quite sure where you want to "click any of the customers name"

You can set up your pivot table sheet to sort by date and show only the top ten. Then add a slicer for customer name.

    Done.

If you want to include the status of the bills, then you would need to provide that data somewhere. Your data source for the pivot does not have it. So I wonder how you would expect to get that in the report.
