Copying row background colour from separate worksheet

    Morning Ladies and Gents

I've been asked to help find a solution for something that I hope you can help with.
One of our teams here checks progress on orders on a daily basis, with daily reports detailing the many thousands of lines. Currently they're just looking up comments and having to manually add background colour to make what's left to do more visible. Personally, I can't stand adding colours to a data set, but they need to apparently.

What I'm hoping for is a function that acts as a lookup from the previous days sheet, returning the comment and copying the cell background across the full row. I've been playing around with using the GET.CELL function to return the background colour reference, but can't figure out how to incorporate it into a lookup and make the active cell set this background.

The reason I'd like a function rather than a sub is essentially I don't know how many columns they'll have, the team tends to use the report differently.

    Thanks in advance Guru's.

Not a function, but a sub. Perhaps it will help.

Does the job for the colours, as long as they're standard colours and not 'Theme' colours. I can work that into our format... cheers mate!
