    Experts please assist

I am a moderate user of Excel and VB, but this time I have a requirement to RUN a VB macro to open Monarch 10 from below path and call a specific Model from a shared path and then a Report from a shared path and export and save the final report to target shared path.

    Monarch 10 Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Monarch\PROGRAM\project.xsl
    Share Drive Path1: Model
    Share Drive Path2: Report
    Share Drive Path3: Target Path

Please help me with VB Code, I guess I can amend code to my requirement.

Your time in replying is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Naresh

Re: VBA to Open Monarch10 and run Model > Report and save final report : Please Assist

What are the parts of the task?

    >Open workbook (from a known location)
    >Run macro in workbook
    >Save results to another location

    ?

    Is that the general idea?

Re: VBA to Open Monarch10 and run Model > Report and save final report : Please Assist

Thanks for time in replying Expert,

To be precise, on daily basis I manual login to Monarch10 and open a raw report and then open applicable model and once the final report is ready to export, I export it in excel format and save the report in share drive.

And I do this for 23 different reports using 6 different models.

I get all raw reports in different share drive paths on daily basis and have 6 models in a shared folder.

So my requirement is – I want to do this using a Macro.
For convenience, I thought of using 3 folders named Raw Report, Models and Final Reports. So I will pull all raw reports to "Raw Reports" folder and make sure all applicable models are there in "Models Folders" and run macro so It will open Monarch and select one report from “Raw Report” folder and pick appropriate model from “Models” Folder and save final excel report in “Final Reports” folder and again loop back to open second report from "Raw Report"" folder and so on until last report in "Raw Report" Folder.

May be I can rename Model to numbers like 1, 2, 3 ,4 ,5 & 6 and can define each report to pick which model by numbers.
alternately, we can have a form to fill report name and applicable model name to pick.

Any of the above is much appreciated for me. Just wanted to give an kick start notion.

Thanks for your time in replying,
    Naresh
