    Default wording in Textbox

    Hi there,

I have two TextBox items in my worksheet.

Is there a way I can have specific wording always appear in the text box but when you click on it to type, the wording disappears?

    Thanks

    Re: Default wording in Textbox

    Hi Karedog,

Thats exactly what I want, however, I don't actually have the textbox's in a userform. The textbox is just inserted onto the worksheet. I can't upload unfortunately due to the sensitive information in the file.

Basically its an ActiveX TextBox (TextBox21 and TextBox22). Both are linked to separate cells on the spreadsheet.

I don't need any special coloured backgrounds or font sizes. I just want the following to appear:

TextBox21 to say "Enter Department / Recipient Name Here..."
TextBox22 to say "Enter Previous / Maiden Name Here..."

I'm not great with codes myself, so I'm not entirely sure what to remove from the great code you provided to me above.
