Multiple Users Accessing One Workbook at the Same Time

I have an excel workbook that data is inputted too. Once all the data entry is complete, I have a macro that runs and stores the data in an external excel workbook. I use Workbooks.Open(...) to access the external workbook.

My question is, what happen if more then one user runs the macro and tries to access the external workbook at the same time? Will the macro queue one of the users automatically or is that something i need to implement in my code? Or will an error occur?

Didn't work for me a few years ago in a medical setting. I'll monitor this thread to see what transpires.
