If both criteria met, take cell value and add to existing value in another sheet

    Hi all,

First off I want to explain how limited my knowledge of VBA is, in that it's non-existent. If my lack of knowledge now means I'm asking something simple, impossible or most likely, already answered I apologise as I know from other forums how frustrating people can find that. Perhaps if this is the case someone more knowledgeable than me can pint me in the right direction.

What I'm doing I think is quite simple...I'm creating a excel workbook to use as a resource inventory for work. In it I have three sheets: one main inventory sheet; an incoming sheet; and an outgoing sheet. My intention is to have the main inventory sheet hold a list of all resources we have (by name) and where they are stored. Also here you can see what our maximum capacity for an individual resource is, what quantity we reorder at and the current quantity. I want this sheet to act as my dashboard as it were but once a resource is added to it and the maximum capacity and reorder threshold is listed nothing else should happen here manually.

I want the incoming and outgoing sheets to automatically update my "dashboard". So if I take the incoming as the example. When I reorder a resource, I list the resource name, the supplier, the reorder date, amount and status. What I want to do is look at the resource name and if it matches a name listed in the main inventory (the "dashboard") and the order status is given as processed, then the order quantity will be added to the current quantity in the main inventory. The outgoing would be almost identical only in reverse and with less details so I'm hoping if I can learn from the incoming one I'll figure the other on my own.

If anyone here can offer any advice of help it would be very much appreciated. As I said, apologies if already asked somewhere but as is likely now clear by my rambling description, my knowledge of this is incredibly limited.

Thanks in advance for your help
