    range,activecell.range,activecell ??

    Hello Chaps,
    I am just getting into it but cant find a good explanation of the differences between the
    terms

    Range

    Activecell.range


    Activecell


    Maybe someone can just give me a simple explanation of the different usages of the terms

    ActiveCell is just that ... the cell that is currently "active" i.e. selected.
    Range is a range.... it can be a cell, but it can also be a larger area, Range("A1:B5") for example is the group of cells in that area.. so A1 to A5 and also B1 to B5 (so 10 cells).
    ActiveCell.Range means nothing to me really.... since Range requires a parameter, either a cell, a group of cells or a named range... as in the example above.

    Tags are things we use to mark formulas or code... for example if I highlight Range("A1:B5") and hit the "#" symbol in the menu above this text box,it will put code tags around that piece of code... like this:
