Use a form to pull parts out of an inventory

Looking for some excel help here, I do not have a lot of experience with the developer tab.

Our company brings parts into our warehouse, then assembles them, and ships them put.

What I'd like to do, is have a form that I could pick assembled products from and have it pull the individual parts out of inventory.
The inventory is on a spreadsheet, we add a column for the shipment date and then subtract the number of each type of parts.

Can anyone help me get started here?

    Thanks.

Would help if we could see an example of your workbook?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Ok, I added a sample of my spreadsheet here.
This shows our shipments across the top with our individual raw parts on separate rows.

    Thanks for your help here

Here's a small project I recently completed. It is close to what you are seeking but of course will require modifying for your purposes.

Take some time to look at how it works when entering data and also at the formulas used in various cells. See what you think and then how far you can get on your own.

Post more questions here when you need assistance.
