Nested if with vlookup

Hi

I am trying to give candidates and A,B,C tag depending on their score which I am checking via a VLOOKUP.

Score >=0 gets an A
Score >=1 gets a B
Score >=2 gets a C

is not giving me the desired output. Candidate with a score of 3 outputs as an A when he should be C.

Can anyone help? Is their a better way to approach this?

Thanks in advance

Re: Nested if with vlookup

I see that this has been marked SOLVED. Is that the case?

If so, please provide solution.
If not, let me know so I can "unSOLVE" it for you
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Nested if with vlookup

You need to do the checks in reverse order:

=IF(VLOOKUP(A34,'scores'!$A$1:$B$100,2,FALSE)>=2,"C",IF(VLOOKUP(A34,'scores'!$A$1:$B$100,2,FALSE)>=1,"B","A"))
