Need to translate from Arabic language to English

i want to convert arabic name to english and i am using the code given by the expert OllieB in the thread below.

But it is giving me Run-time error '-2147417856 (80010100)':

Automation error
System call failed.

for the below line.

Set pvt_obj_IE_Application = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")

Can anyone help me on this.

Hi, I have no idea why you are getting the error are you sure you have all variables dimensioned correctly?

I use this code and it works on my system fro any language I throw at.

I use if in a module
in your case the inputstring = "ar" and the outputstring = "en"

I am using your code as below.

arabic name is in A2 & in B2 i am entering =translate_using_vba(A2,1) but i am getting error as #VALUE.

But just to test the 1 should be "en" I told you that in the post, so the syntax should be:
