Hi, sorry to sound like a complete novice but I can not set up Excel to calculate Diatances / Drivetimes between 2 postcodes as per the thread:
http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?t=808661
(Been told i can not ask a question in another members thread and I need to start my own)
I keep getting #VALUE! error message and I'm assuming I have not done one of the steps correctly.
The steps I have done are:
I have got an API code from https://www.bingmapsportal.com/Application Went to My Account > My Keys > Create New Key >
I wasn't sure what application name to enter so called it GetDistance
I wasn't sure what Application URL to enter so entered: http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/V1/...ng?o=xml&wp.0= [COULD THIS BE WHATS WRONG?]
I then got given a key
I posted the code from page 1 of the above thread into MS Excel 2016 > VBA for Applications > Insert > Module and pasted the code into the Module 1(Code) box. I entered the key that was given to me within the bingKey = " "
I then saved as Macro Workbook and entered the following into Cell A1 =getdistance(TN23DG,ME24NR) but I am getting the #VALUE! error
I have also made Microsoft XML V6 available in the references section and tried with v3 too.
I understand the Value error message can be caused by Bing getting too many queries from you but I've never had this working so not sure why i'm getting it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated please.
Thanks
