Generate a SKU based on columns of data

    Hi Experts!

I am trying to generate a listing of SKU's (probably thousands) based on an excel spreadsheet with a series of data in columns.

I would like to auto generate SKU's similar to the following:

    SKU

    TANKRDT00000M100
    TANKRDT00000M1SM
    TANKRDT00000M1MD
    TANKRDT00000M1LG
    TANKRDT00000M1XL
    TANKRDT00000W100
    :
    :
    :
    TANKVLT0VLT0C1XL

    Notice that I start at column 1 item 0, column 2 item 0,column 3 item 0, column 4 item 0, column 5 item 0, column 6 item 0, column 7 item 0
and then inclement column 7 to item 1 and the next SKU is column 7 item 2...until the last item in column 7 then I reset column 7 back to item 0
and inclrement column 6 to item 1...and so on until i go through every permutation.

    Hello dgriffis.

    Welcome to the Forum!

It would be easier to provide a solution if you posted your workbook.

    To Attach a File:

    1. Scroll down to the window below your post Additional Options
    2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
    3. Click the button.
    4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
    5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
    6. This will open a new window File Upload.
    7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
    8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
    9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
    10. Close the window and then click Submit.

Make sure there is enough data to fully demonstrate the process. Include an AFTER sheet in the workbook to show how you want the results formatted.

Remember to redact or change any personal, confidential, or sensitive information in the workbook before you post.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

I think this puts you in the right direction.

Avoid using Select, Selection and Activate in your code. Use With ... End With instead.

Not me. Thank JBeaucaire for this. I was only smart enough to keep it in my archives.

When you press ALT-F11 you can view entire code if that's what you mean.
