how to pre-fix text

Hi,

I need a script where:

if my cell "A" is having 8 characters it should pre-fix AZ to the 8 characters and give the result with 10 characters in cell "B".

please help me on this.

Why do you need a macro for this? It's a simple formula/

Assuming your data is in A1 and you want the "AZ" appended to the end of the 8 numeric string :

Paste either formula in B1, then drag down the column.
