Angry Warning, DoneEX excel compliler infected with malicious Virus.

I was looking for an excel compiler to convert my macro enabled programs to an EXE file. In the search I found DoneEX which I found both through searches online and at least one recommendation on this site. I downloaded the demo version at work at the college, but knew better than to install it on a work system. Yesterday I downloaded it at home and installed it on my windows 10 system on an I7, qual core, 16GB memory running excel 2013. Once installed it shows up as and addon to the excel ribbon. The first time I ran it and compiled a program it seemed to work fine, but then disappeared. I then ran it again and this time when I ran the EXE after a couple of minutes Windows Defender popped up saying that a sever threat was found and removed the program identifying the following virus: Trojan: Win32/Fuery.B!cl Description : http://pcthreatskiller.com/how-to-ge...cl-completely/

I removed the program and then re-installed it from another link, once again the same problem occurred. I repeated the issue on four different files, eventually removing it entirely and notifying DoneEx support with substantial documentation to make them aware of the problem. What I got instead was a reply from their support that it must be a problem on my end with a sensitive issue with Windows Defender. I sent them a reply that I had not had any problems until I downloaded and installed DoneEX on my system.

So I arrive at work today to find a note on my desk from IT that my system had been re-imaged because of this very virus which they determined was attached directly to the download of DoneEX even though it was not installed on the system. It even attempted to cross firewalls to attach other systems. Luckily they caught it. They also run multiple virus detention tools to isolate and remove threats.

So beware, unless DoneEx support recognizes they have a problem and resolves the issue, DO NOT download this from their website. Once I get the email forwarded to me from IT, then I will forward it to DoneEX.

In the meantime, is there any other Excel Compilers that someone might be aware of.

    Hi !

Better than an Excel compiler is to use VB.Net, Visual Studio, even VB6 …

I thought about that , but I am not sure how easy it is to import excel sheet with extensive formulas and all the vba code and macros that I have now without starting over.
