    Lightbulb Cumulative calculations

    Dear experts,

I have attached here an excel sheet in which I need the following calculations.

    >> In C3 to C12 I need to enter figures on daily basis against each criteria/operation
    >> C15 to C24 should capture the entered details on cumulative basis referring to the same criteria/operation
    >> In C27, it should show the difference between C15 and C16
    >> In C28, it should show the difference between C16 and C17
    >> In C29, it should show the difference between C17 and C19
    >> In C30, it should show the difference between C19 and C20
    >> In C31, it should show the difference between C20 and C23
    >> In C32, it should show the difference between C23 and C24

Hope this could be done using an intelligent Macro work out, I will highly appreciate if could help me get this done.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Cumulative calculations

    I have some questions.

You want to read the data from the Feb_Mar Sheet. Which column?

Apparently you want rows 3 to 12 to reflect a specific date and rows 15 to 24 to be cumulative to that date. Where is this date specified? or do you want it as of the latest date on the Feb-Mar sheet?

This would go a lot easier if column B didn't have merged columns. I will introduce a helper column to overcome that problem - the helper column may be hidden.

Finally, I notice that you claim to have Excel 2003 but the spreadsheet is in 2007 and later format. What version of Excel do you actually have? I'd like to use Excel Tables, but 2003 does not support them.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
