    Making user forms work

    Hi there,

I am currently working on a project for work, and I'm getting a little bit stuck with making this work how I wish it to.

    forms.jpg

I'm trying to make the above forms both function.

The acknowledgement - This is to pop up upon the click of an image, allow the user to view and press the close button to get rid of the message
SIM Refresh - This is going to be an email sent to an external company via Outlook. The data inputted doesn't need to be stored anywhere just passed along. Will also need to add in the body of the message for the email. This again would need to be displayed on the click of an image. I would like it to automatically close when email is sent.

Would it be possible for someone to point me in the right direction. I've picked up bits of code and other things to get this far. But quite stuck now

    Any help would be appreciated

    Ryan

What stage are you currently at?

Any chance you could upload a sample workbook?

Click on GO ADVANCED, scroll down and click Manage Attachments.
If posting code please use code tags, see here.

    Re: Making user forms work

There is some company sensitive information in the work book so I wouldn't be able to upload it for security reasons.

However, I am at the stage of having the forms created, I have the buttons placed within the work book.

I'm struggling to find any code that will allow me to make the forms work as requested. The code I find generally is for saving a workbook and sending it over rather than just sending the information put on the form.

If I can provide any more information let me know cheers for your help

So it's specifically the Outlook part you need help with?

Here's a quick example of how it will look without any of the extra info on screen. This is as far as I have gotten in the other workbook. I've not added in the code that I was working on as not fit for purpose, I also broke it slightly haha

In that example workbook you can add this code to Module1 to show the userforms.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
In the module of the Ack UserForm add this to unload when the Close button is clicked.
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Is that what you were working on?

If it is and you now need help with the 'Send to CSL' button on the SIMRefresh form you'll need to give us more info.

For example, if you do want to compose and send an email what email client are you using?

Acknowledgement button working perfectly now. Thanks alot

Okay, so heres the requirements of the send to CSL button

Input the data manually, click the send button.

Email then to be automatically sent via outlook 2010. To "[email protected]" with subject "SIM CARD REFRESH". Then in the body of the message, I am looking to have the following message

    "Hi there,

    Tel:
    Contract:

Could you please perform the below checks and let me know the results please. If this SIM has been cancelled if you could please forward a reinstatement onto billing please"

With the data automatically being filled in via the form

    Re: Making user forms work

Hi all, wondering if anyone is able to assist with the further questions I have about these user forms. Norrie has already provided excellent help with regards to the acknowledgement button. But I'm still stuck on the SIM refresh button being able to email the data inputted on the form.

    Any advice would be great
