Excel 2016 Using an Unsaved image in a Comment

Do you have a way to add an image in Commenting to show an image captured with the Snipping Tool?

I should have added I want to go from the Snipping Tool image to my SS, NO SAVING OF IMAGE ANYWHERE
    Thank you

    Hi,

If you save the picture to disk, you can load it into the comment thus

Hi, If you goolge there are some variants but not the actual comment.
Why the comment? Because it will 'pop-up' when that cell is selected?

You can only load a saved image into a comment as far as I am aware, so you would require code- such as Stephen Bullen's PastePicture module- to save the image from the clipboard to a file. You can then delete the file after loading it into the comment.

Just something I tried out :

    1. Use the snipping tool or Alt PrntScrn to load an image or whatever to clipboard

    2. Select any cell on this worksheet

    3. Right-Click the cell and enter a descriptive ID for the shape

    4. Press OK

The shape is shown next to that cell

Now select that cell again, the picture will be hidden

select another cell and then go back to the previous cell and the picture is shown again
