seeing what functions a password protected addin contains

Hi,

At work we use 3th party software to query what i think is an sql server.
It has a couple of addins in excel but they are password protected.
Is there some way for me to see what functions i'm able to use from this addin?
It seems odd to me to create an addin and make it harder for your users to use it by protecting it.
I've been searching google but can't find an answer.

Protecting the code in an add-in does not make it harder for users to use it. It makes it harder for people to steal your intellectual property. Contact the third-party provider for user documentation.
