VBA wildcard help

Hi all,

I am using the following VBA formula, however it does not seem to work if I have a wildcard situation. Can anyone tell me how to make this work? Apparently wildcard values do not work like they do in a normal excel formula. The text below that says "missing cancelled item at packing*" is the problem I am having. I guess using the * does not work as a wildcard value. Does anyone know how I can achieve my desired result?
