How do I rename a tab?

I'm trying to rename a tab in my quick access ribbon that was created. When I try to right click on it I get no options to rename it like I do under my main ribbon options. Any help would be most appreciated.

Do you mean the Quick Access toolbar rather than Ribbon?

The 'tab' is usually a reference to the sheet name.

Re: How do I rename a tab?

I suppose the tab is under my quick access bar but it won't give me the option to rename it and when I look in the code I can't seem to find where it is pointing to. I'm trying to change the name of MY Oilfield Tab to read Reports. Here is a copy of the excel form.

You need to edit the CustomUI part of your workbook in order to change the tab name in the Ribbon.

You will need a tool like the CustomUI editor, or to extract the contents of the xlsm file (which is actually a zipped folder) so that you can see the CustomUI.xml part. It is not something that can be done through Excel itself.
