My research did not give any related result, so here is my problem:
In one worksheet of my workbook I create a query from another workbook. The data that populates the WS are all unformatted and the column widths are set automatically which is quite ugly as some are very large. So I recorded a Macro which would format the WS in a nicer way after running the query.
The macro should then be called by a floating button.
The creation of a floating button works fine in this WS ("Floating Button"), but I cannot run the macro because each time I assign it to the button and click on the button, nothing happens. When I check whether the macro is still assigned, the field is empty.
I suspected that this may be an issue with the floating button, but if I delete the subroutine that makes it float, the same thing happens.
Could it be that buttons don't work in WS that contain a query, or what may be the reason?
