    Excel Macro for BLS Data

    Long story short I'm looking for a better way to download BLS Employment Data into excel. I'm new to macros and tried to record my actions in excel hoping I would be able to run this macro to pull data for different sets of BLS codes. I'm basically attempting to copy and paste a set of codes into the BLS series input, open each excel file and move back to the current excel file in a different sheet. Then I could link the summary sheet to pull from the newly ran sheets

    When using the below I get a "run-time error 91: object variable or with block variable not set" error for the line item "Application.ActiveProtectedViewWindow.Edit"

    This would probably go better with a sample workbook.

    Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
    One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

    A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

    dflak - I have added a sample workbook. The highlighted list of codes in the bottom left is the set I would like to essentially copy and paste into the below link

    From there, I am trying to download each of the results into the following sheets of the workbook

    I am still fuzzy on the requirements. I see the various sheets for the various labor sectors. Do you copy and paste these in? What do you want to do with these sheets? I also see the employment model sheet and the numbers you reference. Are these to be generated, if so, how? What do you do want to do with them?

    Am I to "skim" the values in cell B4 on each sheet?
