Highlight month and current month

Need help I like to see if there is a way that when I open my sheet it opens to the correct month and it high lights the current month darker than previous months. Attached is a sample

Try this and see if it does what you want.

You can do this with Conditional Formatting. First, I changed the month names to dates formatted as Custom mmmm.

Then, highlight A1:L73 > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula

=MONTH(TODAY())>MONTH(A$1)

Format: Fill light blue > OK > OK

With A1:L73 still highlighted, repeat the steps but use this formula:

=MONTH(TODAY())=MONTH(A$1)

Format: darker blue > OK > OK
