Disclaimer, I'm not an export & just learning MACRO world; I currently just record them, not write them, then I save them in note pad for copy/paste option for later use.
So I have the main raw data worksheet, which I am keeping but breaking down by creating a new worksheet at the bottom for each system so there are 9 additional worksheets at the bottom.
On the main raw data tab there are 141 different column titles in row 1 (A-EK columns), I am trying to narrow down to only about 22 of the 141 & carry them over in a certain order to each of the 9 worksheets.
I think the best approach would be to pull that order once & then copy/paste to the rest of the tabs; but I’m stuck on how to pull the order.
Can someone please explain how I can search row one for what I want & then return to a created tab in certain order? The 22 column titles I want to pull in a certain order e.g. new tabs would look like this; Row 1/Column A I want System, Row 1/Column B I want Assessment, Row1/Column C I want Type, & so on. But the System column is really in column B on raw data tab where the 9 new tabs I want it to be column A.
After all 22 column titles are created I would then want to return the raw data in each column (A-AB) from the Raw Data source to the 9 different worksheets I created. Can someone please explain how too get raw data from each respectable column with a changing amount of rows each month to the new work sheet?
Example attached show what column each new tab is created from, I already created the Tabs but when pulling the data I want all the data; e.g. system 6 has 6-A, 6-B, & 6-C, but the key search would be all with 6 in it so it pulls A, B, & C.
I kept all the different main column titles in row 1 for Raw Data Tab & showed in Tab 1 what needs carried over. I thought once I did that, I could write a MACRO to create the new titles in row 1 that I have highlighted in tab 1, then would copy & paste through the rest of the new tabs since all with have the same titles just different raw data based on that system tab. I made up column names just using letters in order on Raw Data tab & then pulled only the ones I will need & put in different order than appears in Raw Data tab.
