SQL to WRITE to AS400 tables

We have no one here that knows anything about AS400 and the only one who knows anything about SQL is me (and I'm not IT).

Our ERP system has no method to upload a specific kind of data and I have thousands of parts that need this piece of data entered.

Our old IT guy could do it using SQL (not through Excel).

I can READ the AS400 tables all day long using SQL through Excel VBA.


Is there a way to WRITE to the AS400 tables using SQL through Excel VBA?

To write- if mean to either "INSERT" or "UPDATE" the database. The SQL statements would be pretty much the same as you write them in a database directly.
