    VBA for formula

    Hi

I need some help on the attached spreadsheet. I have the below formula input in column S to retrieve the survey date from the survey detail tab. Will somebody be able to provide me some assistance to convert this to VBA coding instead of putting the formula in every cell.

    Re: VBA for formula

    Hi

The VBA formula worked but i encountered an error in the sense that the first 2 rows on column S. S2 copied the header and S3 showed blank. S4 onwards showed up accurately. Is there a way to rectify that.

I also noticed that the formula was copied in column S. Basically why I need to convert this to VBA is because I'm linking this report to be extracted for an external dashboard. the formulas in the cells are causing an error. I am trying to not let the formulas be copied on the actual cells but to work from VBA instead. Is that possible.

    Re: VBA for formula

    Hi Jindon,

Ok the error for the first 2 rows doesn't occur now. Can i check on my second query.

    - noticed that the formula was copied in column S. Basically why I need to convert this to VBA is because I'm linking this report to be extracted for an external dashboard. the formulas in the cells are causing an error on the dashboard when there is another input other than a date. I am trying to not let the formulas be copied on the actual cells but to work from VBA instead. which means the formulas should not show up on column S but work work from the VBA platform instead. Is that possible?

What do you mean by "external dashboard"?

    Is it different workbook?

    Re: VBA for formula

yup. the other workbook retrieves data from this report by multiple formulas. an input other than a date entry is causing an error to show up. I wanted to try if an VBA conversion of the formula will avoid that since the cells are blank in column s in that case. Will that be possible? Cause now i can see that the formulas are filled downed in column S.
