Email workbook automatically on a date

Hi, I am not sure this is the correct forum for this question, but I have had so much success here I thought I would give it a try.

I have an Excel workbook that is updated throughout the month. I need the workbook to automatically be sent as an attachment to serveral email addresses on the first day of every month. There is nothing special about the workbook, it is just a table. The workbook is closed most of the time except when it is being updated. The computer that has the workbook has Outlook open and running.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction!

When you say "automatically" it implies the macro is attached to a 'timer' and without intervention sends the emails all by itself. That can be done but it invites disaster as there is always something that
should never be emailed without an edit of some kind or the results are embarrassing or career ending. Perhaps better to have an "automatic reminder" and send the email manually ?

Hi Logit,

Your example is the manual process as I understand it. I certainly understand your concern about sending an email automatically, but the workbook is being sent from a server to me so there should be no issue .

Thanks for the help, but I still want it automatically to launch on the first day of the month.
